Millions of people across the country snore. Sometimes, it is just an annoyance to your spouse. Other times, though, it is a sign of something more severe. Snoring is not something that you necessarily have to live with. Putting an end to snoring could all start with a trip to see us.
With sleep apnea, a person's breathing is interrupted while sleeping. It could happen as many as 30 times each hour. Sleep apnea can cause tiredness during the day, but there are more effects than just that. People with sleep apnea tend to snore. Often it is also related to the grinding of the teeth. There are a couple of things that we can do to help with sleep apnea.
First, we might try a mouth guard while you sleep. This will help to keep your teeth and jaw in line, and it could put an end to the grinding. Another thing that we might try is a CPAP machine. These are designed to help you better breathe at night and could put an end to both sleep apnea and snoring.
Nasal Spray Some people have a lot of success with nasal sprays when it comes to snoring. Oftentimes, snoring is cause by dry air and a dry mouth, and the spray will make sure that your mouth and nose are not dried out. We can help you to find the best spay for you.
There are some simple changes that you can make if you snore. Sometimes, all that you need to do is to change the type of pillow that you use or sleep on your back. If you have questions about snoring and how it affects your dental health, we would love to talk to you about it.
